چکیده
The influence of soil variability on three-dimensional (3D) probabilistic slope stability analysis has been investigated previously for soils that display isotropic spatial features or anisotropic horizontal fabric patterns. However, due to various deposition processes, weathering, filling tectonic movements, the assumptions isotropy layering may not always be realistic. This study presents 3D analyses slopes with spatially variable associated rotated transverse anisotropy features. results show cross-dip where strike direction strata is perpendicular out-of-plane slope, reliability depends factors including rotation angle and autocorrelation distances, differs significantly from horizontally deposited fabric. orientation also pronounced dip reverse slopes, these are presented in terms indices statistics length sliding mass elaborated by considering failure mechanism under different scenarios. Through analyses, this paper discusses key properties, their major differences situations involving layers two-dimensional assessments.

Three-Way Two-Dimensional Deterministic Finite Automata with Rotated Inputs
Inoue et al. introduced an automaton on a twodimensional tape, which decides acceptance or rejection of an input tape by scanning the tape from various sides by various automata which move one way, and investigated the accepting power of such an automaton. This paper continues the investigation of this type of automata, especially, ∨-type automata (obtained by combining four three-way two-dimen...
متن کاملEnhancement of random finite element method in reliability analysis and risk assessment of soil slopes using Subset Simulation
Random finite element method (RFEM) provides a rigorous tool to incorporate spatial variability of soil properties into reliability analysis and risk assessment of slope stability. However, it suffers from a common criticism of requiring extensive computational efforts and a lack of efficiency, particularly at small probability levels (e.g., slope failure probability Pf<0.001). To address this ...
متن کاملThree-dimensional solutions for general anisotropy
The Stroh formalism is extended to provide a new class of three-dimensional solutions for the generally anisotropic elastic material that have polynomial dependence on x3, but which have quite general form in x1; x2. The solutions are obtained by a sequence of partial integrations with respect to x3, starting from Stroh’s two-dimensional solution. At each stage, certain special functions have t...
متن کاملTransverse confinement of waves in three-dimensional random media.
We study the transmission of a tightly focused beam through a thick slab of three-dimensional disordered medium in the Anderson localized regime. We show that the transverse profile of the transmitted beam exhibits clear signatures of Anderson localization and that its mean square width provides a direct measure of the localization length. For a short incident pulse, the width is independent of...
